New cafés, bars, restaurants and areas of open space
will provide a focal point for local people in an attractive
environment alongside the waterfront.
As part of the development, we will be providing space
for new community facilities and amenities. Ideas which have been discussed
include sports facilities, pre-school clubs and new health care facilities.
A centrepiece to the development
will include a new waterside ‘piazza’,
an important south facing area for local people to
enjoy with trees, terraces, paved areas and outdoor
furniture, alongside the existing dockland artefacts.

Channel with shallow terraces, ramps, steps and new planting
- A new wide and leafy central pedestrian boulevard linking
Canada Street and Canada Water with water channels, large
trees, planting and a bicycle route
